- Tomato ketchup
- Cocoa powder
- Corn / golden syrup (optional)
- Water/ baby oil
- Plain flour
- A small beaker or bowl
- Metal teaspoon or spatula
Squeeze some ketchup into a bowl
Mix in some plain flour, avoiding lumps
Mix in some cocoa powder to make the "blood" less red and become thicker. Add this slowly because if you add too much you have to start again.
If you want your blood to look fresher or coagulate as it dried, at this point you can add red food colouring and the corn or golden syrup.
If you have added the syrup and your mixture is too thick, add some baby oil to make it thinner. If you mix contains no syrup and needs thinning, add water.
Add the "blood" to the skin (as shown at the bottom) and allow to dry (as seen at the top). As it solidifies, it will shrink and pull your skin together. You can add red and purple eyeshadow around the edges to make it look raw or septic.
