As we have a young girl in our film opening and children laughing is a common convention of horror films, I have decided to find a sound clip to use in our film opening.
It could be placed over the titles as a background, non diegetic sound.
Children laughing is a good sound to use in a horror film opening as:

• It is a juxapostion to the situation of the film opening, creating tension
• It is usually louder than other sounds, creating a distraction
• It conforms to the age of the possessed character in our film opening
• It is a common convention of horror films, seen in Indsidious

I found a sound effect on YouTube, I will download it and layer it over a nursery rhyme or a self-made sound track.
