Shooting Script - 10/1/15

Shooting Script 10/01/15

Mote Park, Maidstone

Due to losing our data from the last shoot, we had to re-film most of our clips. As we were using a new location, all clips we had we will have to reshoot as they had different lighting and surroundings.

We planned to meet at 1.30 at Mote Park, as we learnt from the first time we filmed that the lighting was too bright - this caused our clips to look less eerie and too clear. Shooting at a later time allowed us to benefit from the decreasing light, adding to the continuity of our clips.

We got to or desired location in Mote Park - an area of dense forest to shoot at around 2.15 after delayed starting due to meeting up and walking across the park. We chose to film the beginning clips as they involve a dog and therefore need more time to set up and we can make up for any re-films.

The first clips we were filming were the opening shots/fast editing of the surroundings.

We then filmed the opening scenes of the boy walking.

These are the shots that show the start of the possession. When the girl begins to possess the other character.

These are the possession scenes.

The final scenes before the titles appear.

The day was productive as we all had skills that aided the efficiency of filming.
  • Bethany is skilled with using the camera and lighting - this means we were able to get good shots that used lighting to create a more cinematic effect. We also used tripods to get a range of interesting angled shots.
  • I used leadership skills to ensure that we managed to get the designated clips done during the day. This helped with organising locations and ensuring that each member of the group brought the correct equipment and knew times and locations for meeting.
  • Bailey was the actor and used good postures when filming the possession scene that we can use and add clicks to make an effective body manipulation scene. He helped with directing the clips and deciding on the best angles for the shots.
