Demonic card props
Inspiration
My inspiration for my demonic cards were the dice used in insidious as they are unique to the person who uses them and are used normally for games of chance and luck which are superficial ideas - supposedly like demons and supernatural beings.
Step 1.
I took 4 cards from a childhood card collection of mine that had image and names that I could relate closest to demonic connotations.
Step 2.
I began to scrunch the cards to give them an authentic look, as if they have been used in some sort of supernatural ritual.
Step 3.
Here I wrote on the cards words with links to demonic beings and evil in attempt to give the cards and eerie scary edge to them and also more authentic.
Step 4.
I added red cream blood to the back of one of the cards and painted an demonic symbol on the back.
Step 5.
I added fake blood to the rest of the 3 cards using my fingers to make it out as if someone has been holding these.
Final Product
Evaluation
Pros
- Cheap equipment
- Only 3 things you need to make them: playing cards, fake blood, red cream
- Easily make
- Can manipulate them and add to them whatever you want.
Cons
- The images on the cards look a bit soft and not sinister so I would probably have to make my own cards
- Blood finger prints didn't come out as expected due to the colour and material of the cards. Would have to lay the fingerprints first followed by the rest of the card.
